Part-Time MRI Scheduler/Check In

The Spine Institute of Louisiana has an immediate opening for a part-time MRI Scheduler/Check In to add to our team of professionals.

The successful applicant will be organized, have strong computer skills, the ability to multi-task, excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, professionalism, and the diplomacy necessary to interact with patients, the public, and other healthcare professionals. Experience in scheduling and precertifying imaging procedures is preferred.

Experience with Next Gen software desired. Duties may include: answering telephone, greeting, checking patients in/out, scheduling and precerting procedures, scanning documents, verifying insurance, and networking with hospitals and other physicians' offices.

Hours are Tuesday-Friday – 3:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. and Saturday – 7:00 am – 3:00 pm

College degree or college student enrolled in a science curriculum preferred. Please provide College GPA. Great working environment.

Spine Surgeon or Neurosurgeon:

The Spine Institute of Louisiana is looking for a passionate, skilled spine surgeon to join our organization and provide exceptional care to patients coming from both within and outside of the Ark-La-Tex region. 

Potential for partnership in the Spine Institute of Louisiana LLC, in a surgical specialty hospital, and in other horizontally integrated ventures. The ideal candidate will be a board certified or board eligible Orthopedic Spine Surgeon or Neurosurgeon with spine surgery fellowship training.

The Spine Institute of Louisiana is a regional center of spine care excellence offering patients a multispecialty concept unique to this area. The driving force behind the model of our practice is to simplify barriers to treatment while providing compassionate and cohesive spine care to our patients. Our clinic offers convenience as well as a continuum of care that routinely sets the mark higher than the accepted standard of care for the area.  The imaging capabilities within the clinic include a Philips Ingenia 1.5T magnet installed in December 2013 and a full-service radiology department  currently being upgraded to a DR system. 

The Spine Institute of Louisiana Foundation is the research arm of the organization which provides an avenue by which innovative and leading-edge research can be performed to help identify and determine improved outcomes and solutions to various spine diseases.  The physicians have achieved national and international recognition for their participation and leadership in clinical studies and research projects through the Foundation.

Scheduler/Operator/Floater

The Spine Institute of Louisiana is seeking a polished, professional, and energetic individual to add to our team of professionals:

The successful candidate will have the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously, great attention to detail; good organizational skills, a solid work ethic, and the diplomacy necessary to appropriately and professionally interact with our patients and other customers.

Required is: 2+ years of physician office experience, computer literacy, previous experience as an operator or scheduler, and MUST have a professional telephone voice and excellent oral communication skills. Needs to be able to thrive in a fast-paced and frequently hectic environment. Must be a skilled, fast, and accurate typist; able to type by touch and transcribe real time.

Experience with Next Gen software preferred.

Duties include scheduling patient appointments, transcribing patient requests and communications, and handling multiple phone calls simultaneously. This position has heavy telephone interaction with patients, physician offices, attorneys, and the public.
