Dr. David N. Adams has been in private practice for 23 years in Shreveport.  He is a Fellow of the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine and a Fellow of the Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports, and Occupational Rehabilitation.  Dr. Adams is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.  He is an active member of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine and the American Society of Neurophysiological Monitoring.

Dr. Adams completed his medical training and internship at the LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport.  His residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation was completed at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Dallas, Texas.

He has received many awards and honors to include Chief Resident for the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Texas Health Science Center and the Louisiana Pathologist Award of Excellence in Pathology.

He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Louisiana Medical Association and the Shreveport Medical Society.

Dr. Adams is married to Karen Campbell Adams and has 6 children and 4 grandchildren.  His interests and hobbies away from the Spine Institute include fishing, reading, and boating.
